Hypoxylon nummularium Bull. ex Fr. Fruit body forming a blackish, shiny crust on wood. Asci cylindrical, 125 x 12µ. Spores blackish brown, broadly elliptical to subglobose, 11–14 x 7–10µ. Habitat on dead beech. Season all year. Uncommon. Not edible. Found In Europe.
